Subject: ContentType = "application/xhtml+xml"
I find out that Google Maps doesn't work on my page, because I use
content type "application/xhtml+xml" and then some browsers like
Firefox needs valid XML code.
I get this error:
Error: Object cannot be created in this context =
NS_ERROR_DOM_NOT_SUPPORTED_ERR
Source file:
http://maps.google.com/maps?file=api&v=2&key=ABQIAAAAICHaByKV...

Subject: Re: ContentType = "application/xhtml+xml"
Sorry, that is doomed to failure at the present time.

The document.write() method does not exist. Even if you work around
this, by providing your own document.write() method, there are other
differences between the document types that will prevent Google Maps
from working (possibly in the document event model). This is an issue
that can only be resolved by the active participation of the Google
Maps development team. I can provide a link to my test page to
interested individuals.

In the mean time, you must serve the document with a MIME type of
text/html .
